4. Control module

Microprocessor technology is used to control various electrical components and drive motors.


The microprocessor is generally used, but if the control system is more complex, or needs to be integrated with many other systems (including ticketing systems, access control systems, etc.), and the response time is very high, you need to use a higher performance ARM processor or even Cortex processor.


The simple control circuit is generally realized by the main control board, the motor control board and the auxiliary control board, and the complex control circuit (such as the subway ticket checking machine) needs to be configured with a special industrial computer to achieve.


5. Auxiliary module

Including LED indicator module, counting module, pedestrian detection module, alarm module, authority input module, voice prompt module and so on.


LED indicator module: generally composed of LED dot matrix or LED display, used to indicate the status and direction of the gate, and some also contain text or patterns and other prompt information and welcome information.


Counting module: used to record the number of passengers, can be displayed through the LED digital tube or display screen, can clear and set the upper limit of counting.


Pedestrian detection module: used to identify the pedestrian status, determine whether the pedestrian is legal to pass, and can determine whether the pedestrian is in the movement range of the arrester, in order to protect the personal safety of the pedestrian. The performance of the detection module is very critical, affecting the effectiveness and safety of the gate, which is mainly determined by two factors: hardware - sensor and software - recognition algorithm. The sensor generally adopts infrared photoelectric switch (more common) or infrared curtain, and the infrared photoelectric switch is divided into a pair of beam type (more common) and a single reflection type; High-end gates will use more than 10 pairs of imported infrared photoelectric switches, special occasions will use high-performance infrared curtains or other special sensors.


In addition, the recognition algorithm is also very important, the height, step and speed of different pedestrians are different, the size and location of luggage are also diverse, but also take into account the number of people continuous through the front and back spacing (anti-trailing), some occasions also consider the situation of riding a bicycle, high-end brake manufacturers generally establish the corresponding mathematical model according to a large number of experimental data, The self-developed recognition algorithm can effectively identify common traffic targets such as pedestrians, luggage and bicycles, and the anti-tailgating distance can reach within 20mm (such as IDL, [Cimoro CMOLO], etc.), which also depends on the sensor recognition accuracy and algorithm, and the anti-tailgating distance of the ordinary gate can only reach 100mm.


Alarm module: the gate will trigger an alarm under various abnormal use conditions, which is used to prompt or warn pedestrians, managers and maintainers, including illegal passage, abnormal gate, powerup self-test, etc., alarm methods include buzzer (more common), light, voice, etc. (can be used comprehensively).


Permission input module: pedestrians need to let the gate "know" whether they have legal permission to pass before passing, that is, "input" permission to let the gate judge whether they can be released. There are many types of input methods, such as contactless IC card swipe, biometric identification, input password, coin, etc., simple to have direct button access. The module is usually combined with an access control system or a ticketing system. This module is not required in the case of free passage.


Voice prompt module: The voice prompt here is different from the voice alarm in the previous alarm module, which is mainly used to assist in prompting pedestrian-related information, such as the type of ticket, welcome information, etc. This module is less commonly used and needs to be customized by the user from the manufacturer.
