Century AM+ dual-system metal detection signals EAS industry's comprehensive detection era.

In June, I came across a news report. The Century Company in Hangzhou released a new product called METALKEEPER CA88. This product integrates AM magnetic sound technology and metal detection into a single system, specifically targeting organized retail crime (ORC).

Why is this worth noting? Because the EAS industry is moving from a "single-function" model to a "functionally layered" approach.

What problems does the two-in-one system aim to solve?

One common tactic of organized retail crime: stealing items using bags or backpacks with metal linings. These bags can block the EAS signal, preventing the antenna from detecting the tags.

Traditional EAS systems can only detect tags and cannot detect metal shielding bags. Century's approach is: Since thieves use metal bags, I will also detect the metal at the same time.

One device, two lines of defense. EAS detection tags, metal detection shielding tools.

Why is this trend worthy of attention?

This is not an isolated incident. Similar signals could already be observed in the industry trends of the first half of the year:

Checkpoint has released the HALO IoT platform and the NS40 sensor, integrating hardware and software together.

Sensormatic has launched the FLEX store front platform, integrating the EAS antenna and the digital advertising screen together.

INEO integrates the EAS antenna and digital media display screen into one unit, allowing for the display of advertisements while detecting the tags.

Now Century has combined AM with metal detection again.

The trend is clear: EAS equipment is evolving into "X + EAS" - X can be an advertising screen, can be a metal detector, or can be an RFID reader. The EAS base remains the same, but the added functions are increasing.

The location of Lifangmei Technology

Lifangmei Technology does not focus on adding functions; instead, it focuses on the base itself - the antenna, the motherboard, and the label. Whether it is Century or Checkpoint, no matter what functions are added on top of it, reliable hardware is required to support them.

Li Fangmei Technology ensures that the AM motherboard is well-made, the detection distance is accurate, and the remote debugging is stable. As for what additional functions to add, that is the responsibility of the integrated company.

Regarding Lifangmei Technology

Lifangmei Technology was established in 2006. Its headquarters is located in Dongguan. It possesses its own independently developed AM motherboard technology (AM100/AM100E), has obtained ISO 14001:2015 certification, and has been recognized as a national high-tech enterprise. Its products include AM/RF antennas, anti-theft tags, demagnetizers, lock-picking tools, passenger flow counters, entrance gates, etc., and are exported to 40 countries and regions around the world.
