A complete EAS security system consists of:

Detector (antenna): A device for detecting pulse signals. An alarm is triggered when an un-demagnetized tag passes through.

Electronic tag (hard tag/soft tag): Attached to the goods, releasing detectable pulse signals.

Decoder/Unlocker: Eliminates the tag signal during checkout or removes the hard tag.
