The exhibition lasted for three days, and we were on my feet for eight or nine hours each day. There were quite a lot of people visiting the booths, including distributors, loss prevention managers from chain brands, and some companies engaged in retail technology integration.
Lifangmei summarized the three most frequently asked questions by them - not the ones in the book, but the ones they asked while standing at the exhibition booth and holding the antenna in their hands.
Question 1: "How heavy is this antenna?"
The first question is not "How far can it detect?", but "How heavy is it?"
North American customers are very concerned about shipping costs. The cost of shipping by sea has increased significantly in recent years. A single antenna weighs one kilogram, so one container can hold about forty fewer antennas.
We stated that the AM8208 unit weighs 4.7 kilograms. The other party nodded and said, "This is acceptable."
Question 2: "Can I do it myself?"
What they meant by "by myself" refers to local employees, not sending engineers over.
The AM system of Lifangmei Technology supports mobile phone APP debugging. After the antenna is installed, there is no need to bring a computer. Just connect to the APP and you can view signals, adjust phases, and perform synchronization. No special technicians are required to fly to the site.
The customer took out his mobile phone and tested it on-site. After two minutes, he said, "This design is reasonable."
Question 3: "What should we do if there's a problem?"
We demonstrated remote debugging: The technicians accessed the server in China and remotely monitored the working status of the antenna. There was no need to fly to the United States; they could check the signal strength, alarm records, and phase settings.
If you need to adjust the parameters, you can do it remotely.
After hearing this, the customer said, "Then there's no need to worry anymore."
After the exhibition
After the exhibition, several customers sent in sample orders. They not only verified the antenna detection distance, but also checked whether the three points we mentioned - "multiple detection", "self-installation", and "remote repair" - were true.
We have already received some positive feedback from some of our customers.
